British team management company Epyx has been actively engaging with several car-funded communication firms, aiming to collaborate on innovative solutions that can transform the way data from connected vehicles is analyzed. Despite the vast amount of data generated by these vehicles, Epyx has identified a major challenge: the absence of a unified infrastructure, which hinders efficient data processing and limits its impact on decision-making.
To address this issue, Epyx has introduced its 1Link platform, designed to streamline the flow of information behind the scenes. This platform enables teams to effectively utilize the data collected from connected cars, making it more actionable and valuable for daily operations.
The 1Link platform currently manages over 18,000 garages and three million vehicle service records, including maintenance, repair, and service requests. Fleet managers can now access real-time data directly from the connected car dashboard, allowing them to monitor everything from fuel levels to tank status, enabling quicker and more informed decisions.
For instance, if a connected car sends out a fault alert, the system can analyze the issue in real time before the vehicle returns to the fleet’s garage. This proactive approach allows for a solution to be identified in advance, so when the car arrives, repairs can be carried out immediately, minimizing downtime.
So far, 1Link has successfully integrated key data points, such as accessing SMR (Service, Maintenance, Repair) system information, communicating with drivers, locating suitable garages, scheduling repairs, obtaining approvals, and generating invoices. In essence, Epyx is positioned at the heart of fleet management, offering enhanced real-time services.
Although Epyx is still in the early stages of discussions with potential partners, the platform's capabilities and growing demand suggest a very promising future. With continued development and expansion, 1Link is well on its way to becoming a critical tool in modern fleet management.
