MediaTek Exhibits the World's First 4G Chip

At the second China Electronics and Information Expo (CITE 2014) held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on April 10-12, MediaTek showed us several chips, single-core chips MT6573 and MT6575, dual-core chips MT6577 and MT6572, and four cores. MT6595 built-in ARM high-performance quad-core Cortex-A17 architecture core and quad-core Cortex-A7 core, and the latest PowerVR Series 6 series graphics processor, support for ultra-high-definition H.265 video decoding and 4K, 2K ultra-high-definition video Play and record, and lower power consumption. At the same time, MT6595 is also compatible with FDD-LTE and TD-LTE 4G networks. It supports download speed of 150Mbps and upload speed of 50Mbps, and is backward compatible with DC-HSPA+, TD-SCDMA and EDGE networks. At the same time MT6595 can also be used with MediaTek RF chip to support more than 30 frequency bands, in line with the global telecommunications operators for the RF band requirements. In addition, this MT6595 also uses advanced CorePilot technology, with advanced algorithms and dynamic temperature control and power management technology, can dynamically detect the workload of the processor work, intelligently adjust the task allocation of each core. By adjusting the cores of different sizes, the large cores with high performance and the small cores with energy saving are automatically coordinated with each other. This not only allows the eight cores to achieve maximum performance when necessary, but also minimizes the number of cases under normal conditions. Power consumption completes the task.

More specifically, the features of the chip are: First, integrate a multi-mode multi-band LTE modem. The LTE modem supports the LTE Release 9 Category 4 version, which provides data transmission rates of up to 50 Mbit/s and 150 Mbit/s for the uplink and downlink, respectively.
