TDI Introduces New Indium Gallium Nitride Substrate for LED Manufacturing (Photo)

TDI, a leading developer and supplier of composite nitride semiconductor materials, announced the world's first indium gallium nitride substrate material. Indium gallium nitride is the main composite semiconductor material produced by blue, green and white LEDs and blue laser tubes. The indium gallium nitride material is the material of the light-emitting region of these light-emitting devices and determines the parameters of the device including light efficiency, light output power and lifetime. Indium gallium nitride substrates are required to provide material matching and device performance for the indium gallium nitride device epitaxial architecture.

Vladimir Dmitriev, President and CEO of TDI, said that the success of our indium gallium nitride epitaxial process has proven to bring the most advanced substrate materials to the LED and solid state lighting markets at the fastest pace. Since the first high-quality indium gallium nitride material grown by hydride vapor phase epitaxy was exhibited in 2006, we have continuously received requests from customers for these new products.

Alexander Syrkin, senior crystal growth expert at TDI, said that no other substrate can provide such an excellent material between the substrate and the indium gallium nitride-based epitaxial structure. Indium gallium nitride composites can be controlled to produce and customer devices. The substrate material required for the architecture.
