Up to now, the Olympic project has adopted 34 new energy projects, 13 advanced heat recovery air conditioning technologies and 22 advanced energy utilization technologies. The 9 projects of the Tennis Center and Peking University Gymnasium have adopted geothermal, ground source or water source heat pump systems. In the Olympic Village alone, the application of heat pump technology will save 15% to 20% of energy compared with ordinary central air conditioners, saving 340,000 per year. Degree; National Sports Tasting Wusong Basketball Hall, Olympic Forest Park Central District and other seven projects have adopted solar photovoltaic technology; Beijing Shooting Range, Laoshan Bicycle Hall, Olympic Village and Media Village have adopted solar thermal technology.
The Olympic Village solar water heating system can provide bathing hot water for 16,800 athletes during the Olympic Games. After the Olympic Games, it will supply the domestic hot water demand of 1,868 households with 6,000 residents in the district. The annual electricity saving will reach 10 million kWh and the coal consumption will be 2,400 tons.
The 61 advanced air treatment technologies used in the Olympic Games cover heat recovery air conditioning, natural ventilation, indoor air energy-saving treatment and purification, 48 green energy-saving lighting technologies and 38 energy-saving building maintenance structures. These will save energy to a certain extent and reflect the concept of "Green Olympics".
