According to the survey data of the Consumer Electronics Research Office of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, the domestic LED TV market consumption in 2009 is close to 1 million units, but it is only 5% of the total flat-panel TV consumption in the whole year. LED TV has a large market growth. Space, optimistic estimate that domestic LED TV sales in 2010 will achieve a four-fold growth, reaching 4 million units.
Lu Jianbo, deputy secretary-general of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that at this stage, Chinese and foreign mainstream color TV brands have been involved in the manufacture and promotion of LED TVs. In the initial stage of market launch, brand competition has roughly formed three camps. First, a few brands such as Hisense, Samsung and Sharp have established the strategic focus of LED TV, and the products have entered the market in an all-round way. Second, TCL, Konka and other companies are still on the sidelines, just taking LED TV as one of the many selling points. Third, there are no enterprises involved in the manufacture of LED TVs, such as Philips and Hitachi. According to data from the recent survey of LED TV consumer subjective evaluation conducted by the Consumer Electronics Survey Office of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, 25% of consumers in the big city market who are planning to purchase flat-panel TVs tend to buy LED TVs. In this regard, Lu Jianbo, deputy secretary-general of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, said that LED consumer groups have a lot of space to explore, and the future consumer market has broad prospects.
