Particle Counter
Although different models may have variations in functionality and interface, the basic operations are quite similar:
1. Turn on the power and allow it to warm up before use.
2. Set the working parameters. If you don't need to adjust them, you can skip this step. For detailed button operations, refer to the product manual. Note that settings cannot be changed during sampling.
3. After completing the settings, start sampling and read the data.
4. Connect a printer to export and print the data. Some models come with built-in printers for direct printing.
General Tips
Particle Counter
Particle counters tend to be relatively expensive, especially imported models. Proper maintenance is essential, and attention should be given during operation. Here are some important usage considerations:
1. Do not start the counter if the inlet tube is covered or blocked.
2. Use the device in a clean environment to avoid damaging the laser sensor.
3. Avoid sampling gases containing oil or corrosive substances, as well as mixed gases like hydrogen and oxygen that could react or even explode inside the device. Always consult the manufacturer if testing such gases.
4. Do not use high-pressure decompression equipment (such as pressure diffusers) to sample compressed air. All particle counters are designed for normal atmospheric pressure. Ensure the instrument and sampling port are in the same temperature, humidity, and pressure conditions for accurate results.
5. Prevent water, liquid, or other substances from entering the sensor through the inlet tube.
6. Particle Counter
It is primarily used to test the cleanliness of purification workshops. When measuring materials that produce loose particles, dust, or sprays, keep them at least 12 inches away from the inlet pipe. This helps prevent contamination of the sensor and piping by these particles and liquids.
7. Avoid sampling gas that has been released from the counter itself during operation.
8. Before connecting an external printer or temperature/humidity sensor, turn off the particle counter first. Also, ensure the printer has paper ready during printing to avoid damaging the print head.
9. Handle the device carefully, minimizing vibrations and impacts. Especially for desktop models, avoid damaging internal components during transport or use.
