Japan's copper cable shipments in September decreased by 6% year-on-year


According to Singapore's November 26 news, the Japan Wire and Cable Manufacturers Association said on Monday that Japan's copper cable shipments in September were down 6% from the same period last year.

Compared with the same period of last year, Japan's shipments to domestic and overseas ports fell to 69,320 tons, but increased by 2.7% from the previous month.

The Japan Wire and Cable Manufacturers Association did not give a reason for the year-on-year decline.

The association expects shipments in October to rebound by 11.7% from the previous month to 77,400 tons, but down 1.5% year-on-year. The data will be released next month.

At 0114 GMT, the LME three-month copper was quoted at $6,775 per ton, up $65 from the London market's closing price on Friday. Last Friday, the three-month copper electronic disk closed at $6,700 per ton, down $10 from Friday's closing price.
