The proposal proposes to revise 16CFRpart1120's major product hazard list, incorporating seasonal and decorative lighting products with any one or more of the following three readily available characteristics into the major product hazard list: 1) minimum wire size; 2) Sufficient stress relief; 3) overcurrent protection. These three easy-to-observe features are described in UL588.
