Recently, the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) issued the results of a nationwide inspection of wire and cable product quality, among which the pass rate of wire and cable products in Tianjin was 96.5%.
It is understood that a total of 113 batches of wire and cable products produced by 66 companies in our city have been spot-checked and 109 batches of products have been qualified. The major problems found during spot checks are insulation shrinkage tests, average insulation thickness, thickness at the thinnest part of the insulation, average thickness of the sheath, thickness at the thinnest part of the sheath, and conductor resistance. It is reported that these projects are related to security, environmental protection and consumer health and safety hazards.
