U.S. invents micro-magnetic devices that allow disabled people to operate wheelchairs through the tongue

Today, many people who love beauty love to make holes in themselves. Pierced ears, tongue holes, and navel holes are no longer rare. The "tongue drive system" recently developed by American scientists has made hole making more practical. According to the report of the American Popular Science magazine on February 27th, researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States have invented a miniature magnetic device that can be mounted on the tongue, allowing disabled people to manipulate the wheelchair through the tongue.

The tongue drive system consists of a set of miniature magnet sensors mounted in the tongue and upper and lower teeth and a set of waterproof "jaw braces" sensors mounted over the mouth. The tongue sends a signal by touching a magnet sensor in a different position. The “bracket” sensor then transmits the converted wireless signal to a mobile device such as a mobile phone or a tablet computer, and then the mobile device transmits the instruction to the object that the user wishes to manipulate.
