TowerJazz and Crocus work together to mass produce TMR magnetic sensors

TowerJazz, the world's leading specialty foundry, has partnered with Crocus, a leading developer of TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistive) magnetic sensor technology and embedded MRAM, to advance the mass production of TMR sensors. Using TowerJazz’s 0.13µm CMOS process enhanced with a dedicated magnetic module, this collaboration enables high-performance TMR sensors to be manufactured at scale. By combining Crocus’ expertise in magnetic sensor design and IP with TowerJazz’s advanced process integration, the two companies have successfully licensed TMR technology to a major automotive client, driving mutual growth and innovation. Earlier this year, Crocus also announced an IP licensing deal with NXP Semiconductors, a global leader in automotive electronics. This partnership aims to bring higher sensitivity, better performance, and lower power consumption to next-gen automotive systems like electric power steering and electronic throttle control. The collaboration is expected to boost NXP’s capabilities in smart, energy-efficient sensor solutions. According to Mames Consulting, the global magnetic sensor market was valued at around $2.25 billion in 2015 and is projected to reach $4.16 billion by 2022, growing at a CAGR of 8.87% from 2016 to 2022. The expansion is driven by rising demand for high-quality sensors across industries, especially in automotive and consumer electronics sectors. TMR technology, which leverages CMOS processes, offers significant advantages in sensitivity, power efficiency, and miniaturization. It allows for fully integrated single-chip ICs that deliver low power consumption, durability, and high-temperature performance. These features make it ideal for IoT, medical, automotive, and industrial applications. Michel Desbard, CEO of Crocus, emphasized the importance of TowerJazz’s flexibility in integrating their TS13 platform with TMR technology, which typically involves non-CMOS materials. “TowerJazz’s manufacturing experience helps us meet the demanding performance needs of next-gen sensors across multiple markets,” he said. Zmira Shternfeld-Lavie, VP of TOPS BU and R&D at TowerJazz, added, “As IoT and smart sensing continue to evolve, we are excited to expand our sensor portfolio through this collaboration. Crocus’ IP combined with our manufacturing excellence will help us deliver cutting-edge, competitive solutions to a wide range of customers.” Crocus’ TMR magnetic sensors are set to replace traditional sensor technologies in various applications. Their product line includes multiple architectures based on Magnetic Logic Unit (MLU) technology, a breakthrough CMOS-based magnetic sensing solution patented by Crocus. This innovation is paving the way for more efficient and reliable sensor solutions in the future.

20-port USB Cabinet Charger

20-port USB Cabinet Charger
A 20-port USB cabinet charger is designed to be mounted on a wall or placed on a desk, and it has multiple USB ports to accommodate various devices such as smartphones, tablets,or portable gaming consoles. The number of ports can vary, but a 20-port charger allows for the charging of up to 20 devices simultaneously.
The cabinet design of this charger provides a neat and organized solution for charging multiple devices. It usually has individual compartments or slots for each device, preventing tangles and keeping the charging area clutter-free.Some models may also have built-in cable management systems to keep the charging cables organized and easily accessible.
These chargers often come with features like smart charging technology, which automatically detects the optimal charging speed for each device to ensure fast and efficient charging. They may also have built-in safety features such as overcharge protection or short-circuit prevention to safeguard the devices being charged.NS-1U20-20 -9
